Fès el-Jdid is the city's 13th-century royal quarter, sitting between the labyrinthine old medina and the modern Ville Nouvelle, with the grand brass gates of the Royal Palace, the historic Mellah and the serene Jnan Sbil gardens as its landmarks. For investors it is the in-between play: central, characterful and notably more affordable than either neighbour, with a real local community supporting steady, if unspectacular, rental demand.
